Security Features: The Commando 550-S deluxe car alarm offers security and convenience in one package. The system will protect your vehicle in several ways. When light vibration is detected via the included dual zone shock sensor the siren will chirp 5 times to warn off would be intruders. If a heavy vibration is detected the alarm siren will sound with 6 different tones for one minute. If the doors, hood or trunk are opened while the system is armed the alarm will sound for one minute as well. A dual zone motion sensor can also be added to this alarm system. The Motion sensor is a great feature for convertible cars protecting against intruders when the top is left down. If the intruder reaches into the car when the motion sensor is installed it will sound the alarm siren. To prevent against theft the system includes a starter disable relay and output signal. With this feature the car cannot be started when the alarm is armed. For added security you can also add a car monitor pager for instant notification in the event that the vehicle is violated.
Convenience Features: The 550-S includes remote keyless entry. This will allow you to lock and unlock your car doors on vehicles equipped with power door locks (relays optional for vehicles with positive door locks). The remote trunk release feature is handy as well allowing you to open your cars trunk via the remote control (relay and factory trunk release is required). A channel 3 output is also included with this system for remote window control (module not included) The system included Car Finder allowing you to find your car in a crowded parking lot by pressing the remote control. When the car finder feature is activated your alarm siren will sound and the parking lights on your car will flash.
