The Electro Deposit Primer is applied electrically, pretty close to the same technique as if you were plating metal. This process allows every bit of the roll pan to be covered by primer, thereby better protecting the rear roll pan on your Ford from rust. The primer will have to be “scuffed” slightly for better paint adhesion and that is why Slickcar.com recommends that you have the roll pan painted and installed by a professional auto body technician for a more custom fit and finish to your Ford truck or SUV.
