Electro Deposit Primer, or, EDP, is a special primer that is put on the Chevrolet rear roll pans to protect them from rust. Spray primer and paint alone were only good where they could reach and cover and this left many spots bare and easily susceptible to rust. The Electro Deposit Primer is applied electrically, pretty close to the same technique as if you were plating metal. This process allows every bit of the roll pan to be covered by primer, thereby better protecting the rear roll pan on your Chevrolet from rust. The primer will have to be “scuffed” slightly for better paint adhesion and that is why Slickcar.com recommends that you have the roll pan painted and installed by a professional auto body technician for a more custom fit and finish to your Chevrolet truck or SUV.

The Chevrolet rear roll pans are made of durable 18 gauge steel and are custom designed to fit in pace of your factory installed rear bumper. The roll pans also eliminate the need for a step bumper because they make the rear end of your Chevrolet, smooth and straight down from the tailgate. Depending on the type of rear roll pan you want, you can get them with or without license plate boxes.
